Adjusting the angle the 711-C intercept a new course

Postby Gyda » Mon Sep 11, 2017 11:59 am

The way it is now, if I activate a ”GO TO” point on the TZ plotter it takes some seconds before the TZ ask if I want the 711-C to steer towards it. When I accept, the boat has moved a boat lenght or so, resulting in the 711-C turning hard over to reach the centerline. Is it possible to adjust the angle that the 711-C steers to intercept the centerline, if you see what I mean? The 711-C is in XTE Precision mode.

Good morning Gyda,

Thank you for your inquiry. What is the rate of turn set to in the Ship's Characteristics Menu? This menu can be selected by accessing the installation menu procedure.

Took a while before I could check this out.
The rate of turn was set to 3 degrees/sec by default. Changed it to 1, and later 2 degrees/sec to get a turn rate that suits us well.
Thanks a lot for your help.
