FurunoUSA Maxsea chart licensing

Will FurunoUSA still handle the dual licensing for charts on NavNet3D chartploter and on MaxSea?

Chart licensing -including cross-licensing agreements- involving MaxSea will be handled by Nobeltec as of 1 Oct 2014. FurunoUSA will only continue to sell and support mm3d charts for use on NAVnet 3D and TZtouch MFDs.

So will we still be able to purchase a single C-MAP NavNet3D chart and obtain a license for both MaxseaTZ and NavNet3D chartplotter? Can we make this purchase from Nobeltec, from FurunoUSA, from a reseller?

Anyone who has already purchased MaxSea TZ Explorer from Furuno can still call us to have the systems linked.

Anyone who has had the systems linked in the past; they stay linked so any charts ordered from that point forward will provide unlock codes for both systems. Nothing additional needed to be done on the part of the customer. If you are ordering the chart for your NavNet, you can order it from any Furuno dealer and if it is currently linked to your MaxSea TZ Explorer you will get both unlock codes automatically.
