I have a 1971f now with Tm185M transducer that I like. I'm thinking of adding a TZT2 12" to replace my radar. I may keep the 1971f. Will the transducer that I am using for the 1971f work with the TZT2?

No, it will not. The TM185M is medium band CHIRP.
The TZT2 internal fish finder is 50/200 CW only, no CHIRP.
