Your concern was passed onto Japan. Our testing showed the same as you found regarding the smoothing of the wind. Hopefully Japan will make a software change with the pilot that will smooth out the wind for you. When they confirm the issue, I expect we will hear back from them.

Ist nearly time for buying xmas presents. Frankly spoken I am not that happy, because without a Firmware Update it is impossible to use vane mode. Cannot be that difficult, it just needs some "damping".

Good News. Japan has agreed to make the software modification in the next NavPilot 700 series software. They expect to have something before the next boating season. (roughly March)
