GP-1650w chart plotter.

GP-1650w chart plotter. I replaced my internal battery. The whole system check came back good. It can identify the antenna. But says it has no fix and the chart card that I have used many times in the past isn't registering as well. Is it now obsolete because it can't communicate with an updated GPS system?
Any help would be appreciated.

Chart card may be working but since the unit has no GPS it isn't showing up in the mapping area. The GP1650w if connected to a good antenna with clear view of the sky should obtain GPS. It might take about four minutes for the first time due to the battery replacement. While the unit has long rolled over (time and date will always be wrong) it should still be able to obtain a GPS fix if the hardware is still good.
