Hey guys, I installed a 295 today with what we’re guessing to be a 509 transducer. Not sure if it was a 509 LH LM or LHW The owner did not have the information on the transducer No Tag. But they did know it was 3KW. So tap setting were kind hard to figure out. After talking with Furuno and another local installer we went with C on the high side and C on the low. The unit is working and seems fine but the low side just seems weak to me. I took a few pictures today what do yall think.

While it looks okay/good you really need to find out what transducer you have. The concern is for the HF elements. The tap setting is A, B or C depending on the type of 509 you have. Not knowing the type, you should be using tap A (most conservative) because if you have a LHW model and running C, you will likely damage your HF elements and not be happy when it burns out. It is never a good idea to play guesstronics but when you do, always go conservative.
