Xfer waypoints Lowrance HDS9 to VX2 via SD card?

I just bought a used boat that has existing Furuno VX2 units. My previous boat has a Lowrance HDS9 Touch. I can easily output the waypoints from that using an SD card and on-screen prompts. However, I have not been able to find a clear set of instructions on the best way to get that into the VX2.

The Lowrance outputs in GPX format which is somewhat readable. Would love to be able to put that directly into my Furuno unit but understand that some translation may be necessary.

What is the best way to transfer?

Being this is a one time transfer to Furuno, our tech support will normally convert them for you if you open a support case and attached the file. If this is something you wish to do your self or plan to do on a regular basis; I recommend SeaMarks PC program. (www.andren.com)
