Our on going process of switching from Raymarine garbage to Furuno equipment is proceeding. I need some help with the current up grades. I have a 1824C radar / plotter, depth sounder, GPS, heading sensor, and we are runniing Maxsea 12.6.4. Clearly there is a wiring problem with the ethernet section ...Navnet Version 2. I need some sort of hub and it should be able to allow me to continue expanding the system as the central bank allows. The confussion is between navnet 2 and 3D. I guess what I need is some help sorting out what to do nextt / now. BTW: can't seem to find the radar button on the Maxsea. Any ideas where it hides? I remember taking some buttons off of the task bar but going back now can't find the radar one.

The MaxSea 12.6.4 (aka Classic) is no longer supported by MaxSea. For it to have a radar screen, it must be the "NavNet" version of MaxSea Classic running on Microsoft XP pro. If you have the proper operating system and MaxSea software, it sounds like you have firewalls or antivirus programs running.

Thanks we are running XP Pro but not quite sure how to tell what version of the software I have. It was donated by one of our sponsors and has been with us for a while now. I do know the professional Jepsen charts are the latest, as they also support our humanitarian work so send me chart DVD updates. I would also like to know about the HUB's that Furuno is using. Can I use the HUB101 with my Navnet 2 system? All the advertising blurbs only mention 3D.

The Hub101 can be used with the NN1, Vx2, NN3D, or TZT. The internal power sync switches should only be used with the NN3D system and should all be off if used with the other systems.
