When I bought my boat it came with a Furuno 1944 CNT package of a 6KW radar with 4' open array and a NavNet VX2 display. RDP149. The antenna is XN12A/4. These items were purchased new around 2009. I would like to get a new display screen, but keep the old radar. Does anyone know what new display units will work with my current radar? I want to get rid of the NavNet VX2. The resolution is old, its hard to see in bring sunlight, and not very user friendly. Any suggestions on a new radar screen for me?

You could replace the screen with a 1945 radar display. The newer options are limited due to the shift to digital radars that started in 2008 with the NN3D. The Vx2 radar will not work on NN3D or any TZT system.

JE's answer is the right answer,

At one time there was a RGB output cable kit that would allow customers to install an extra VGA monitor. Furuno doesn't carry this part anymore, but of course you could always look around for one on the used market:

And it went to the Furuno MU190.

It's just a thought, :sail
