Hi
I'm am looking for a new furuno fish finder and transducer for my new alloy boat. Has a 8mm hull and is 28ft long.

We fish any where from 150ft to 300 ft often bottom fishing so need to see bottom and mid water.
Troll for Marlin and tuna during the summer months and mainly focus on the mid to top of water coloum.

Want to get into deep drops targeting broadbill in New Zealand in depths of about 1000 to 1500 ft.

Thinking the fcv 295 but not sure what transducer to pair it with. Thinking A 2kw
50/ 200khz. Can the 295 operate 2 frequencies?
Would I need 2 transducer s ....one for shallow and one for deep water?

Would the tz touch be an option with chirp, only really want a fish finder though?

Prefer a thru hull urethane transducer due to alloy hull and opposing metals.
I Don't like transom mount , had issues in the past with bubbles and interference.

Appreciate any advice .

Cheers

Markdrought,
The FCV-295 is a two channel sounder. As far as a transducer recommendation, I am going to recommend talking to your local Furuno agent for the best advise. They will know the best transducer for you hull type and application.
