Hello all,
I have a 2017 TZ T2 connected to a Furuno 526 TID-HDD bronze through hull 1 kW transducer. I’m located in Northern CA and have never needed to use the sonar in depths over 300 feet. We recently had water in excess of 50 fathoms open for rockfish/lingcod and a fledgling fishery for sablefish and Petrale sole. Does anyone know how deep I can get reasonable sonar readings from this unit/transducer combination. Reading the manual, it appear that 200 meters and potentially up to 300 meters depending on the frequency setting is possible. Some of the sablefish are found well in excess of 150 fathoms.
Thanks for any help you can give.
