View waypoints from thumb drive

I have all my waypoints back-up onto a thumb drive from my TZT12. Is there a way I can view the waypoints on my PC from the thumb drive? Thanks for the help in advance.

Even easier you can create a TZ Cloud account and then log your TZT 2 in after establishing a WiFi connection and it will upload them to the cloud server and synch changes. Then you can see the waypoints on your laptop at the Time Zero website or on an iPhone or iPad with the TZ iBoat app. You will always have a current backup that way. If you make changes to the waypoints on your laptop or the apps, those will be downloaded to the TZT 2 and synched next time it connects to WiFi.

It's still a good idea to create a "hard" backup with a USB drive or microSD card every so often just in case.

Thanks for the reply on using the cloud.
I am looking for a way to view my waypoints directly from the flash drive with my PC.
I’m thinking I need a certain software to read the waypoint files. Any ideas?
Thanks

TZD is a proprietary Time Zero format. You would need to run one of their software packages, which are really intended for navigation and quite costly.

You can export from the TZT 2 to the flash drive in csv or gpx format instead (one of the available settings), which will give you a much wider range or options to view the waypoints. Any spreadsheet program such as Excel can open a csv file. You could also download free software such as OpenCPN charting and view gpx or csv files on it, which also allows you to download free NOAA charts.

This is what some of my waypoints and routes look like viewed on a computer using the TZ Cloud website. I think you will like it once you use it a few times.
