Used FA50

I am thinking of purchasing an used FA50 to be connected to NavNet 3D BB. Most likely the ship static data of whoever I purchase this from will be set to their old boat. Is this something I can reset myself or will need a dealer or Furuno to set for me?

You can do it yourself but you would first want to update the software in the FA50 to the newest due to GPS rollover last Jan. Software and instructions are posted under the product on our website for everyone.

thanks.. can I use any stand alone non Furuno hub or does that need to be the Furuno one already in the boat?

It can be any hub! There is like an 8 dollar one on amazon you can even use. Just need to make sure its just the FA50 and PC plugged into the hub. Also make sure firewalls and antivirius is turned off while you do the update :cool
