Updating TZtouch 2 and DFF!-UHD

Just bought a new to me 29 Everglades that has a TZtouch2 12 and Dffi-utd sounder. Both units are running outdated software. The TZ is running version 3.01 and the sounder an earlier version as well.

Is it difficult to update? The local Furuno guy says he is backed up for next 6 weeks?

Anybody have any experience doing their own updates? Lessons learned?

It is common for boaters to update their units themselves. Below is a link to software update and instructions for the TZT2 and DFF1-UHD. I recommend reading all of the instructions prior to updating the units.
