So I ended up trying to run auto mode and found it does an amazing job at adjusting most variables for fishing and I just adjusted the gain to +2 for most of the day in 100+ ft of water. In one of the screenshots you can clearly make out individual game fish within all of the bait. I am very impressed with this combo.

West coast san diego. Yellowtail. We caught yea. It was mostly splashing around and would swim under the boat
