Update on Timezero v4 and TZT2?

I posted back in June about the incompatibilities between TimeZero v4 and TZT 6.x

Has there been any news or even indication that there is a software release on the horizon soon? There are other features in v4 of TimeZero that I would like to use, and would like to know if this will be happening soon, or not for another 6 months.

Good afternoon Steve Mitchell,

Thank you for your inquiry. As you probably know when version 4 of TZ Pro software was released Furuno USA lost some specific features between the two systems when interfaced. Some customers feel differently about the specific features that were lost, for some, it was not a huge distraction and thus those customers updated to version 4 of TZ Pro. For others the loss of features detoured those customers to continue to use version 3 of TZ Pro at least until Furuno has the ability to bring those features back when interfacing the two systems. As of right now I know we are working on the next generation of software. Unfortunately I do not have a timeline a this stage. We are working to bring those features back, a software update will allow that to happen in the near future.

It's been a couple of months since we heard anything more on this, any news?

According to my last communication with Timezero:

With v4, we have introduced a new synchronization system called MyTimeZero Synchronization that is more powerful and stable than the old NavNet Synchronization. Unfortunately, we are waiting for Furuno to release their next firmware v7 update before it will be able to use the new system. At this time, we do not know when they will be releasing the update.

Which implies there is a version 7 of the firmware on the way... Sounds like a big change which will involve more than just Sync protocols! do we get any spoilers on future features? (Oh and a ball park on release, this year? Next year?)

TZT2 just released v6.23 and 6.26 recently. The next version of TZT2 software is currently planned for June; for which we don't know exactly what it will bring. We do believe it is planned to support TZ Pro v4 but won't know for sure till it arrives. For those needing integration now with the Nobeltec, I recommend TZ Pro v3.
