I am upgrading my Raymarine RL80C+ radar display to a TZTL2. I want to use the sounder feature in the MFD. Can I re-use the transducer from the RL80C. It is an airmar B744V, but with only seven pin plug. Are the internals of the Raymarine B744V the same as the Furuno B744v? I know the wiring/plugs are different, but can I re-wire the old one and reuse it? It would be a pain to unbed a 3M5200 transducer and replace it.

Thank you for your inquiry. The TZTL12F has the capability to use a B744V. However, we want to make sure the impedance matches. I would get in touch with a company called Gemeco, a quick google search will get you their contact info. They make a number of different adapter plugs for Airmar transducers, you will want a 7-pin Raymarine to a 10-pin Furuno to work with a TZTL12F.
They should be able to set you up.
