TZTL12F Chartplotter turns on intermittently

Two tztl12f's, one sometimes turns on, has orange/amber light. Screens are clean. Power and ground good at plug. Swap power plugs to different units and same result. The problem chartplotter will turn on if you sometimes tap with knuckle on the "button". Will randomly shut off, goto orange. Sometimes goes to the brightness/daylight/night quick access. So it seems there may be something wrong with this portion of the screen? Is this a common issue? Is this a hardware or software issue and how do I proceed in getting this fixed?

Make sure that there is no corrosion on the multi cable and there the wires are not shorting out.
Over heating and low current can cause similar symptoms.
