TZT3 and transducer

I am having 2 TZT3 installed along w DDF3D and 165-50/200-TM260 transducer.

I plan on having another transducer for other TZT3. Will it power a traditional transducer or only a chirp?

Thanks!

Since I already have the 165-50/200-tm260, would I be better off with a chirp as the tm260 already has the 50/200?

Would a 600 watt transducer be sufficient or should I purchase a 1000watt for bottom fishing in 80-310’ water?

Thanks!

I would use the 1 kW 50/200 in your planned 165-50/200-tm260 transducer for the internal sounder of the TZT3. It is a great solution and gives you both the sounder and the DFF3D on screen with just one combo transducer.

Yes, but I was planning on purchasing another transducer as a backup or for the other mdf. Want to cover all the bases possible.

Thinking since I already would have the 50/200, then not to be redundant, but cover all the possibilities, a chirp maybe a good additional transducer.

Hi Grady,

I'm going through the same process and think a B175HW will work well for what I'm doing (generally under 150'). Not too expensive, relatively easy install on the tilted element, might hold bottom well at speed, gets CHIRP and a wide cone. If you were fishing deeper, perhaps the B175M.
