Upgraded to Ver8 this week. Thank you to the phone in Technical support and this board for your tips. Everyone at FTS is always very knowledgeable, patient with our questions, and willing to help. This is one of the key differentiators from the other brands, which I have had and I hope Furuno continues to provide the robust TS in the future. It means a lot.
It took some tweaking and a few small issues to get everything squared away but overall a painless process mainly due to the Tech Support team who put with my 5 phone calls one day.
So far I really like the new interface and some of the newer features. We don’t fish, but run a 46 ft trawler between so cal and central cal from July to Nov each year, and that includes a fair amount of night time running, as well as solo when my wife is not with me. Your gear helps make it possible.
