TZT2 new install - question

I’m about to order a new Furuno system to replace my old and terrible Lowrance system. One of my hangups is I have a simrad temperature sensor that is transom mounted and connects via the nmea 2000 network. Can anyone tell me if it will provide a temperature reading to the Furuno tzt2? If it is working and puts out NMEA standard PGNs it should work fine. The web link you provided doesn't have any information on what PGN data it provides. You might call Simrad to see what PGN it gives so you can ensure it is standard and not something propitiatory.
