TZT2 fishfinder

I bet your turned on bottom discrimination. It should change to mud, sand, gravel etc as you go over different bottom. If you tap on the sounder screen and bring up the box with the options there should be a setting called bottom that you can turn off.

I was able to turn it off. I don't know how it works but in what I know is deep gooey mud bottom, it shows rocks.

After the update, I got to get the boat in the water. Unfortunately, max of 30' which is not where I fish. But I played with settings for over an hour trying to see how to change some things. Observations, bottom was very pixelated and jerky. This is with the boat not moving. When we got on plane, it smoothed out just a little but the bottom just looks pixelated or not sharp(I am comparing to my previous 585). The 585 was screen always had smooth movements, the A-scope was smooth and now with the TZT2 internal sounder, it is jerky as it moves across the screen. I played with speed and other settings and can't correct it. I really need to get it in 600-1000' of water to see if I have an issue but that isn't something I can do without spending a days time.

Went offshore and fished as deep as 1015'. I am a little relieved but still a few annoyances. It just seems like it has a tenuous grasp of the bottom meaning it is constantly losing digital depth. But it definitely worked better.

I am begging Furuno to put digital temp in the same box as the depth instead of the data box that takes up 1/4 of the screen. Please?

I agree. Would also be nice to be able to display the digital numerical temp on your fishfinder, instead of being force to use a difficult to read graph. Don't get me wrong, the graph has its function, but to tell the temp from any distance is nearly impossible.

As I have mentioned before, a system voltage display (house) would be nice, too.

Jagsare1...Did your bottom look like this picture? I just updated to 6.21, and all of a sudden the bottom stayed like this, even 45 feet deep.
