Tzt2 Dff3 509 slow scroll

Hi every one. My sounder is scrolling very slow in deep conditions. It's ok under 300m but soon as I drop over the edge to 500 plus it freezes up and moves about one mm every 5 seconds or takes 40 min to move across half a screen. Very frustrating issue. I read that deleting the chart list page may help? I've tried most settings. But the tx is on 20 and manual. Bottom discriminate is Turned off etc. Scroll set to 2/1 because 4/1 isn't any faster and looks worse etc.

Gregg,
All of our sounders have a Bottom Search Mode which is used for the digital readout. This mode is always looking for the bottom and when it doesn't find it will vary the TX rate slowing it down trying to find it. Sometimes the screen will appear to freeze, but in reality it is the DFF3 is looking for the bottom. I looked back through my catalog of screen shots and found one where the DFF3 was set to 1400ft and had 29 minutes of history because we were in 3000ft of water. We have a request into Japan to allow the end user to turn this mode off which will increase the DFF3's TX rate.
