TZT2 dash mount

Is it ok to mount a TZT2 with side brackets in an exposed open area? Is the unit that waterproof? I am adding another unit up top at the tower and I have looked at the navpod but it would be huge for the TZT2 12.

It can be in the rain and receive the typical water spray/splashes. You can not submerge it or pressure wash it directly. It is designed to be used and exposed on a typical open fly bridge and be just fine.
