TZT2 and Simrad AP28 MISSING COMPASS DATA

This might be a Simrad question but I want to make sure I am checking everything. Never had a problem before. 2 trips ago, I got a "Heading lost" message on the TZT2 and a "missing compass data" on the AP28. I use a RC42 for heading data.

Last trip, this problem happened intermittently over the trip.

This trip, it only gave me heading data for a few minutes.

I have checked data sources etc and don't see an issue. Is there anything else I need to check on the Furuno side?

If the TZT2 has the RC selected for heading, it needs to be consistent. If the heading drops out or isn't heard due to NMEA 2000 networking issues, then the TZT2 will alarm. You might try watching the data source screen and see if your "Current" is changing to something else other than the "Preferred" RC42. This would be a sign that the TZT2 is seeking another source because heading isn't being heard even intermittently.

Cannot figure this out. It worked all trip this weekend. It is not dropping intermittently, it either works all day or never works.
