TZT16F - buoys disappear when zoomed in

On my TZT16F chartplotters, the amount of chart detail goes down as I zoom in. Buoys disappear and there's minimal depth information. How can I keep those details when zoomed in? It happens on some charts but not others. My Great Lakes charts are fine. I'm only having this problem since getting onto the river system (Mississippi, Ohio, Tennessee).

I've read other threads saying that bathy data takes over when zoomed in close, and I should disable bathy unless I'm fishing. I don't see any settings for disabling bathy or reducing "value added data" anywhere.

The free bathy fishing charts are only for the East, West and Gulf coast areas. If you want detailed bathy for the river system you would be looking at C-map bathy. Do you have a c-map navigation map licenced or the fishing map licenced? If your not sure, call tech support with your system ID and they can look. C-map Nav charts have some bathy along with the navigation mapping but the fishing bathy requires you swipe up on the plotter screen and pick FISHING to see the C-map fishing bathy.

Thanks Johnny. I'll contact C-map.

My licensed charts are standard nav charts, not fishing, and the swipe-up menu doesn't show any options for bathy. At this point I have no interest in fishing bathy. I'm just trying to avoid running aground in the rivers. If I zoom in close enough to use radar for collision avoidance, it makes the buoy markers disappear.

While C-map can sell direct options, it might be better to contact your Furuno dealer as they are normally easier to reach and they can sell the C-map licences as well.
