TZT12 Touch3 transducer compatibility

I need an in hull chirp solution for my new TZT12-3. Are these transducers compatible? I don't see them on the list of recommended transducers.

Airmar P75M
Airmar M135M

Bob_G,

AIRMAR's P75M Single Frequency 80-130kHz CHIRP Transducer is supported for use with TZTouch3.

However, AIRMAR's M135M Single Frequency 85-135kHz CHIRP Transducer is NOT supported for use with TZTouch3 :noway

And when it comes to In-hull transducers, my experience is that they do not perform as well as the wet faced thru-hull or transom mounted transducers. You may be able to see some fish targets when using In-hull transducers, but there just isn’t the same performance level as that of wet faced thru-hull or transom mounted transducers.

Just one man's humble opinion…

Curious why you need an in-hull transducer. If it is an issue of not using a fairing, the tilted element transducers such as the B175 series (H,L, HW, M) work well and would not interfere with a trailer bunk or lift cradle.

My experience with an in-hull tank mounted transducer was actually pretty good. The key is to ensure that the section of hull through which it shoots is completely solid with no voids and ideally made of a suitable "acoustic window" material.

Why do you say the M135 is not supported by the TZT3? Reading the compatibility guide it says others maybe supported and to contact tech support. I spoke with them about the M135 and M285HW and they said they both will work. Transducer ID will not work but since they both have the same elements as the B175M and B175HW to select those. You can purchase a M135 with the 10 pin Furuno connector. I need an in hull solution also for a cat hull.

Just to update this. I was successfully able to hook the M135M to the TZT3. It auto selected a B265 and I manually changed it to the B175M. The boat is out of the water but I briefly played with the settings and everything appears to work just like it should.
