TZT - Sonar Display

Reel Catch

New member
While trolling, I frequently would like to see a split screen sonar display where one side would be the entire water column (say 0 to 1600') and the other side would be a portion of the water column (say 0 to 300'). My system includes two TZT14's and a DFF1. I have not found a way to accomplish this set up using a sonar display on one TZT or sonar displays on both TZT's.

Also, is there a way to have the digital depth indication on the sonar display show the actual depth even though I am in water deeper that what the sonar range is set for? (ie., digitally show a depth of 1187' even though the sonar range is set for 0 to 300')

Thank you.

Good morning Reel catch,

Thank you for your inquiry. I understand what you are trying to achieve, unfortunately with the products that you are using a split range cannot be used with a DFF1. The only way to see a bottom depth while running the DFF1 in a pelagic fishing mode 0-300' would be to have another source of bottom depth coming into the TZT. That could be from another fish finder ect. But with just the (1) DFF1 unfortunately you cannot have it both ways. If it is in pelagic fishing mode then you will likely not see a digital bottom display.
