Tzt 3 bottom loss

Tzt3 Transiently and intermittently losing bottom for several seconds at a time throughout the day. At times related to dense bait and at times randomly. Using a 50/200 kHz transducer - B744V in auto fish mode. High singe frequency in shallow water, generally less than 50 feet. Any thoughts? Unlikely to be bubbles as it happens even a very slow speeds. Don’t know if I should try some adjustment or take it off the auto mode? Any input would be appreciated. Did not happen with my older furuno unit. Thanks

Do you have photos of what the bottom looks like when you are picking up? If you have a good solid bottom and the digital depth is the only thing dropping out; you might want to lower the "Bottom Level LF" and "Bottom Level HF" settings.

Not just that the depth reading but bottom and screen are transiently blank and then pick up again normally. Will send photos when able.

Mine tends to do this also when in auto fishing mode. in auto cruising mode it doesn't do it nearly as much.
