TZ2T-12 CHARTS

I have a few questions on the TZ2T 12 chart system.
When I bring up my MFD the large North America chart comes up.
When I look at the the chart file I see a lot of other charts, a lot of them have “check” mark. A lot have the lock icon.
What is the significance of the check mark? Do I need to purchase a key? (even though they have a check?
Fred

Check mark means a file that does not require an unlock code. No purchase is necessary.

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I was guessing that must be what it meant, but that being the case how do open one of these files? When I scroll on the main screen I don't see any list to pick from.
I just did an update to the latest software, could that have caused my problem?
Fred

While on the plotter screen swipe up and select the format of chart you wish to view.
NOAA raster and vector charts are free and can be selected. If you already paid for some charts, being C-Map or Navionics, they will also appear as a selection.

Thank you for your patience
The problem I am having is I don't get the screen which allows me to select the chart.
When I swipe up I et the screen labeled CHARTS which allows me to pick type
If I select raster or fishing nothing happens. As I recall correctly, before I did the update, at this point a list would pop up which I could select from.

No list will pop-up from the bottom swipe screen (never has). Swipe up offers you the type of chart you wish to see/use (example C-Map/Navionics/Raster/HOs/Fishing). If you want to see a list of your loaded charts you must go under "HOME - CHARTS"

What happens if you have more than one unlocked fishing chart with overlapping coverage. How does one toggle between charts then? Does it show vector/raster/HO/fishing/fishing?.

Right now for Fishing specific, there is only the free fishing charts for the USA and the C-Map fishing. If you have them both loaded; they work together. The free stuff works at the uppers ranges (where C-map doesn't) and the bathy lines will be drawn in BLACK. When you range in where the C-map data is designed to work, it takes over where the C-map data lines are in BLUE.

When it comes to Navigation charts; you might even have three vectors loaded for one area. (say C-map / Navionics / HOs) When the system set to AUTO will show the chart that it thinks has the best data for the scale you are zoomed at. It will auto toggle as needed automatically. If you select which type you wish to view all the time (say C-Map) it will only show that selected chart for the area. You can change to one of the other types of vector with a simple swipe up from the bottom and choosing the other type (say Navionics for example). Of course you must have licences to anything you are attempting to use (for those charts requiring licence).
