Yes, the M232 will work on the TZT3. Click on the links below for more information. We are in the process of updating our documents to show TZT3 but any information you see about the TZT2 is the same with TZT3 and the process of setup.
The instructions dated 2015 ARE NOT CURRENT. I wasted a lot of time trying to follow those instructions. There is a more recent set of instructions for installing a FLIR M232 on a TZT3 or TZT2 system. I have attached the file that Clayton in Tech Support sent me This is the most recent set of instructions. The document from 2015 references a NEXUS Gateway. FLIR has changed the internal software. I did speak directly with FLIR tech support after I got the correct set of instructions from Clayton. I wasted a lot of my time and tech support's time trying to follow old and outdated material. AND IT'S STILL UP ON THE WEBSITE
To Kicker's defense all three of those documents have been on the website under the TZT2 produce pages. They should be updated to add the words TZT3 with other minor changes very soon. Kicker just didn't include links to all three documents. I am glad Tech Support got you what your needed. In regards to connecting many accessory items, the instructions are the same when using a TZT3, as the TZT2 series.
I am fitting out a new boat with TZ3 and would like to go with a FLIR M332 IR camera which is image stabilized (don't know if that matters). I do not see this model on the current compatibility list, anything you can help with?
Technically there is no M332 compatibility until the end of this year or early next when TZT3 v2 software is released. There are setup selections for the M200 and M400 series in the software but the M300 is not yet there. One of our techs assisted a local boat builder and was able to use the M332 with both TZT2 and TZT3 using the composite video and was able to steer and use the camera fine. At this time, the IP video could not be used and its not considered compatible for our listing until the newer software is available.
Great and thank you, the boat build will be in 4/2021, so it sounds like I am good, even if I have to install the software update myself at a later time.
