TZ BB

For 8 years since I bought my new boat, I had Furuno NavNet3D,
Unfortunately this summer I was in a lightning storm and a lot of my equipment and electronics got damaged. So I went with the new (to me) TZBB. It seems to me that Furuno went backwards on some of the features. On my 8 year old NavNet3D I was able to store many, many tracks where as in my new TBB I am limited to just a few. Why?

But more importantly to me, since I do a lot of off shore runs, is the Serius weather.
First, I can’t get wave period, and Furuno admitted it is a software update issue that should be released soon. But also, on my 8 year old NavNet3D, I could have the Serius wether overlay on my chart plotter as I cruised. so that I could always know what was coming. Now on my brand new (installed in July 2018) TZBB, in order for me to get Serius weather, I have to go and select a separate screen. That in it self is a pain, but more so, once I select that screen, I can’t realy use it to navigate... can’t change age “north up” to “head up”. And all my route and tracks are not displayed there either. Why would Furuno do this? As someone who does a lot of ocean crossing, this is most disappointing and frustrating. Am I missing something?
Hope to hear from Furino..

Good afternoon Trawler Guy,

Thank you for your inquiry and feedback.

After further research you are correct that a software update will be needed to get the wave period feature.

Please continue to check back with us or your authorized dealer when that software update will be available.

Kind Regards,
C-Bass
