Tune on FR604D

I am working on a FR604D Radar. S/N:314-1899
When I turn the unit on it goes thru it's 2.5 min warmup.
I then select TX, ad the screen lights up as normal.
All info ie: range, brightness, etc. work.
I can change range as well.
But, as described in the operation manual, I cannot get the "TUNE" bar on the upper right.
Therefore I get no sweep.
I verify the array is turning.
I understand the array was whacked when the boat was pulled, but it doesn't bear any scars.
I don't know what to do next. :sorry
I would be grateful for any help.

As a 30+ year old radar it might be time to move on to a newer Furuno unit. The issue could be many things, and being that few parts are now available, it might not be worth the time/effort. Page 4-2 of the operator's manual has a very detailed troubleshooting chart with steps you might look over and see if you might narrow down the possibilities. It appears to be a problem inside the scanner unit by the sound of it.
