While offshore I first lost my "position data" and then the nmea connected stereo said searching for stereo. I turned the unit off multiple times with no success. The next day I turned the unit back on and the touch screen is non-functional and will not accept touch input anywhere on screen. The sounder is scrolling and the map is present but not moving with both and the center vessel function is gone and there is a small lock in the upper right corner. I borrowed a furuno 5.01 update bootable disc and successfully updated system even through it was already updated to 5.01. When it booted back up the touch screen still doesn't work and the only way to clear the initial nav warning is to press the roto key. The Home key works but when you touch menu or anything else touch screen doesn't work and the small lock is still in the upper right corner. Anything else I can try before removing?

Press the power button once quickly and then toggle the "Lock Touch Screen" to OFF.
