The upgrade DFF1 to BBDS1

Our ship's DFF1 is broken and I heard DFF1 is obsolete thus we have to upgrade it to BBDS1. However, we do not intend to upgrade our display.
Is FURUNO BBDS1 compatible with NAVNET VX2 display?
Also, our current transducer is AIRMAR SS 60-12-MM. However, it is irreparable thus we would want to upgrade it to FURUNO SS60-SLTD--12.
Are the specifications compatible to upgrade from AIRMAR transducer to FURUNO transducer?
Also, could I use the same hub, if I upgrade to BBDS1?

Yes, the BBDS1 will work just like the DFF1 with the Vx2. It will not offer bottom discrimination because the Vx2 doesn't support that. The Vx2 will treat the BBDS1 exactly like it is the DFF1. Changing to the transducer is no problem. The transducer type is the same except the old one was a Gemeco Mix and Match transducer and the other is more specifically made for Furuno. You will end up with almost exactly what you had before any failure.
