STW = 0.0 MPH on Navpilot 300

Hello Furuno Community,

I have a farily new Navpilot 300 installed on my boat. So far I've been using it and it's working just fine. The only thing bugging me is STW (Speed Thru Water) always show 0.0 MPH even when I'm crusing with the AP enaged. I don't have a STW sensor on the boat so is there a way this screen can show SOG? SOG is coming from my GP1971F. I've gone through the manual and the setup menu but found nothing about this. It's not clear to me if this can be changed. Possible to replace STW with SOG on the HDGM screen?

Thanks.

Section 1-9 of the Operators Manual explains how to change the data box. You also need to tell it that STW is not used or it can cause performance problems. That is covered in 3-19 of the Installation Manual.

We try to put the "one and done" setup items in the installation manual. Anything "operational" we try to have in the operators manual. It's always good to check both because it isn't always perfect.
