Strikelines charts : 2020 edition

Hi there,


I know a few years ago it was posted about they were looking into getting the strikelines charts put into the Furuno Tz Touch series, or at least making them compatible.

Is there any progress made on this front? Where I live the CMOR maps don't offer nearly the coverage that the Strikelines do. (Tampa/Saint Petersburg, FL inshore, nearshore, offshore)
 
Strikelines is not currently an option but we have some other advancements/options coming in the new year with a new major software update.

I ordered my TZT12F and BBWX4 so i'm looking forward to it.

Starting out with just my B164 that's already in the boat, but hopefully getting into DFF3D and a DRS4dnxt early next year.
 
Hi Johnny can you elaborate on the SW upgrade? I've checked the Furuno site and see v1.08 from August, but nothing newer. I've been trying to improve on the charts, ideally relief shading but would be happy with detailed bathy lines like Navionics Sonar Charts. There is great detail in the canyons, but nothing inshore / near shore. Last fall I worked with the Furuno tech support guys (they were great!), Time Zero guys and even Navionics and C-Map. But I came up with nothing. Tech support gave me a few screen shots of the C-Map Fishing Charts in my area, but they weren't as detailed as I was looking for and all nav aids and other detail was removed :think . I'm thinking I may need to purchase another mfg MFD just for the charting I want in addition to the TZT3, but would prefer to go with a second TZT3 as I expand the system for obvious reasons.
 
If you asking when the next TZT3 software update is planned, currently they are saying the End of February to early March. It is a major release with some really good things coming. That is about all that can be said this early out.
