Splice 10 Pin

Good day,

I have a Shamrock boat that I recently installed a Navnet TZT2 15.6" MFD. I hooked it to my old 10-pin 520ST-MSDF, which was found to be junk.

I bought a Furuno 525STID-MSD 10-pin. Can I use the 10-pin splice kit so I can keep my existing wiring that is fished through a tight conduit to the helm?

We always advise that you run the new, factory molded cable when installing new equipment. You can never be certain of the condition of the old wire.
If you feel you must splice it, ensure that you do not short anything out and that you seal the splice extremely well to prevent any water intrusion.
