Smaller MFD Tz2 compatible?

I am finally upgrading my old 74 GB36 CL Electronics and have decided upon a TZ2 Network but the 12 inch MFD is larger than I would like for my lower helm. Is there an smaller display that would be supported by the network?

I am planning a DRS EXT radar, AIS, and DFF...

Also, I have a COMNAV AP that appears to only support NMEA 0183 data. Is there a simple work around?

To meet your requirements, I would suggest a TZT9 with a FI5002 and IF-NMEA2k2. This would provide the 0183 data you need.

Many of my space issues are a result of the overhead mounting restriction for the TZ2 MFDs posted here:

Can you please elaborate on the inconsistent guidance? If I decide to purchase the TZ2 MFD s and mount one overhead in the cabin of a GB should I have warranty concerns?

They say the same for TZT. It has to do with maintaining a vibration and impact standard. We have seen many units mounted in the overhead without any problems. The concern is for very small boats that takes consistent hard impacts; then the mounting location wouldn't be recommended due to the extra vibration and physical impact the unit will experience when hanging from an overhead.
