Just getting some ideas on shortning the cable from the tm54 dff3d transducer as it is about 5m to long, is it recommended? Would prefer not to have 5m of cable coiled up
I don't recommend cutting the smaller 7-pin cable as I try to avoid splices whenever possible.
You can shorten the bare ended cable, no concerns there as described.
