Sharing NMEA input among networked plotters

I have multiple NavNet VX2 chart plotters on my Furuno network. If one of the plotters receives NMEA input data, will this data be available to the other plotters on the network, or do I need to feed the NMEA input to each plotter individually?

They will receive it over the network as long as the unit with the wired data is turned On and the unit is properly setup. If you need setup help you can contact tech support while you are on the boat.

If I choose to "go to" a waypoint or a route on one of my networked plotters, will each of the plotters output the corresponding RMB sentence (assuming that I have RMB selected in each of them), or will the sentence only be output by the plotter on which I select the "go to" function? I want to have the RMB sentence output to my autopilot; if all of the plotters output it, I can simply connect one of them to my autopilot, but if only the one plotter outputs it, I'll need a multiplexer or autoswitch between them and the autopilot. I want the flexibility to select a waypoint or route on any one of the plotters and have it sent to the autopilot, without having to manually transfer it to a particular plotter to drive the autopilot.

Each unit will automatically share the GOTO info between all units via the network. The unit properly connected to the auto pilot will send that data; so it will not matter that you only have one unit connected to the pilot. It is important that you setup the system properly and ensure the time settings are the same on all units or you will have problems with the GOTO function going over the network. It might be a good idea to call tech support from the boat to review your settings.
