:questions What autopilot respected experts may recommend for Sea Ray 270? She's 9 years old and has MerCruiser® 350 Magnum® MPI & Sterndrive Bravo® III. From the previous owner we got a plotter, which, although Garmin, can work in the beginning. It has NMEA2000 output. Together with a quotation I got the info from local Furuno office, that the autopilot will not work normally at high speeds. It's a little annoying, although the autopilot is needed for fishing, not racing. I have never installed autopilots on boats, only on large vessels. And here I do not know where to start. Appreciated in advance.

Sergey,

You can use either the NAVPILOT 711C, or the NAVPILOT 300 that was specifically designed for the type of vessel like Searay's Ambejack 270, and has been one of Furuno's most popular Autopilots to date.

The NAVPILOT 300 is a strictly NMEA2000 Autopilot, so it will integrate with any other NMEA2000 devices, and I don't know why you were told that it will not work at "high speeds".

This Autopilot will handle everything you intend it to use for with your size of vessel. With the NAVPILOT 300's unique Gesture Controller, and Fantum Feedback steering with self-learning software, it will provide you with a whole new level of navigation with ease.

- Deep Blue ;)

Ok. Very good. NAVpilot 300 & SCX20 - these two items are already in the cart. NMEA2000 network can be built w/o problems. What else? I asked the Sterndrive Bravo III distributor to advise about their system, and how to control it mechanically /electronically. Don't you have any ready made Packing lists for such cases? I have always liked FUSA approach. :respect :D
