Hey everyone 👋

My boss recently got me a new compass but nobody can fit it for me locally I'm happy to do something myself but I need some information before I start connecting random wires with blind hope myself

Much thanks everyone 🙏 🙂

The SCX21 is a NMEA 0183 device so it would be connected up to the Simrad via the 0183 input.

You would need to match up your baud rate and ensure that you provide the simrad the needed sentences.
How is your plotter connect to the pilot?
What baud rate is the Simrad looking for?

I'm aware it's the nmea 0183 connection needed but other then that I'm clueless ! I'm generally fairly handy with electric and installing systems but don't want to damage anything and there's no easy wiring diagram I can find. Currently the Olex plotter is ran threw the newer fununo gp39 gps aswell as my pilot and nothing is working properly so I asked for this to have things separated and not sharing/ splitting signals not uncommon for the boat to jump a few thousand miles over the plotter I have no idea what a baud rate is

The Simrad seems to have only one 0183 input and I don't know what their baud requirements are. I am not sure how you would manage both the 0183 heading data from the SCX21 and the plotter 0183 into the one port without some sort of multiplexer. It seems with all the cross company equipment it is likely best to have a trained dealer on the boat to get it sorted.
