SC30 roll and pitch

Hi,
I have an SC30 connected to an IFNMEASC. I'm trying to get roll and pitch information via the ATT message from the IFNMEASC, but all I'm getting is heading. For example:

Code:
$PFEC,GPatt,168.9,,*4E
$PFEC,GPhve,+0.000,A*14

I have the output to port 3 (J5) configured as message 4 (ATT, HVE), baud 38400, Interval 25.

Does anyone know if I have something configured wrong, or is something broken?

Thanks!
Matt

The IFNMEASC is setup to put out ATT and HVE by default at 3,400. If someone changed settings incorrectly or entered an invalid offset, it might be an issue. You might try conducting a factory clear of the NMEASC. If this is an older unit, maybe something has gone wrong with the pitch and roll sensor inside the SC30. The SC30 should be mounted flat not at an angle or on a wall.

Hi Johnny,
Thanks for the quick reply and suggestions.
I just tried both self tests shown in the manual as well as the factory clear. The unit is sitting flat on a picnic table outside while I troubleshoot. I also confirmed continuity on all the pins at either end of the cable.
Unfortunately, I'm still seeing the same results as before.

Based on what you say it sounds like it is time to have it checked by the dealer or the service center. The pitch and roll sensor doesn't seem to be working.

Hi Johnny,

Ok, thanks.
Do you happen to know what the accuracy for the SC30's roll/pitch measurement was supposed to be?

Matt
