Rudder indicator adjustment on TZTouch2

My rudder display is consistently off by a couple degrees compared to the Simrad AP26 gauge and actual rudder position. TZ2 gets its data via the NMEA 0183 output of the AP computer through an N2K adapter. I have not been able to find an offset adjustment for the rudder display on the TZ2. Anyone know if one exists?
Thanks, Jim

There is no offset. It shows what it receives by the PGN provided to it. My guess is you have delay created by the devices and conversion process that causes a difference (delay) during the rudder movement. If you find that with zero movement, it doesn't match, then either the PGN has a sentence issue or the converter does. I don't think it is likely, but maybe the Simrad has an offset that is applied to your display but not to it's PGN output sentence. You might check with Simrad. There is no offset for rudder in the TZT2 nor should there be a need for one. You might check that you are running the newest software on all pieces involved. Hopefully something there helps.

Thanks, Johnny, this is helpful. I plan to tie the AP Simnet directly to my N2K network when I have a chance to eliminate the 0183 adapter (I saw an earlier post on this). This may address the issue.

Thanks again
