Reverse polarity?

In my recent installation of a couple used rdp149’s I noticed what looks like they may be reversed in polarity. For the main power harness, the previous owner had the white wire going to negative, and the black wire going to positive on both units. Does this sound right? The units seem to function fine... thank you

If is the Furuno power cable it will be White to Positive and Black to Negative. If someone extends or splices the cable with their own stock, those colors could be anything. If they have reversed the code, I would label them very well so someone doesn't get them backwards and let the smoke out of the machine. Confusion happens a lot due to house wiring colors which I think White is normally a negative or neutral. Measure twice, cut once.

Both units have the Furuno power cables. The white is going to negative and black to positive on them.

I can only guess some aftermarket knock off cables were used. I have never seen Furuno cables with reversed colors. I would highly recommend you label the connections so that someone doesn't damage the units later on down the road.
