I just removed a whole Simrad system on my 47 freeman and replaced it with full Furuno system with 2 24”tztxl’s. I had a reefscope on the Simrad and looking to hook it back up but the inputs are different. I emailed reefscope, they basically told me it could be done but they don’t know how.
Our Reefscope camera outputs analog CVBS video, not HDMI. The Furuno TZT XL displays only accept HDMI video input, so there isn't a direct cable that will plug in.
This can be done, but it requires additional conversion hardware (not just an RCA-to-HDMI cable). Because there are multiple ways to handle this and it depends on the rest of your boat's electronics, we recommend consulting a qualified marine electronics installer to determine the best and most reliable setup.
They'll be able to spec the proper converter and make sure everything integrates cleanly with your Furuno system.
