Furuno Super Fan
Hi,
My RDP139 SPU board didn't work (it can not make the dome rotate), I buy a used one on Ebay and it seems working very well. But I must reset all information when I turn it on. I contacted with my local furuno service and they said that it must be reset to factory default and they gave me an instruction. I did reset as their instruction successfully but the display keep showing a simulator every begining and I must seset every thing again.
Please help
Thanh you

When it powers up and asks the question about simulator if you follow the screen and hit the clear button to say no; it should no longer be in simulate. If you happen to boot with it in simulate you can turn it OFF in the menus. MENU - SYSTEM CONFIG - SYSTEM SETUP - Simulation SETUP - Turn RADAR/PLOTTER/SOUNDER to "LIVE".

I pressed clear button of course but all my data setting came to the factory deafault setting. Anntenna type came back to F type instead of B type, radar maximum range became 48nm and the signal seems not correct. Please help me is there any way to set it up to be normal working
Thank you

The radar setting F is not default so the settings haven't been cleared, they are just wrong. You should follow the setup from the installation manual (not operator's manual) posted under the product page on our website. You must set the radar antenna type correct for the radar scanner you have installed or the range will not be correct.

I use 1833C installation manual book to set up my display so I know F antenna type is not 40nm maximum range well. The problem is the display turn B to F antenna type every I turn off the display. I pressed MENU button while I turn it on, the simulator window appeared on start-up screen and the simulator mode ran automaticcaly despite of CLEAR or ENTER button is pressed, I must came to SYSTEM SETUP to change radar to LIVE and I can use my Radar on Installtion Mode only and I must reset my radar everyday

If the display doesn't hold the settings upon turn off then it need repair. It most likely needs the internal battery replaced which the manual calls for every 3-5 years. We normally find that battery to last about 8 years but that 2002 NavNet one is well overdue a battery change if it hasn't had one recently.

You are correct. The internal memory battery is broken and It damage the SPU board too. I replace a new SPU board and It works well with one time set up. I am very appreciated for your help.
Nick
