RD30 connection

1. I have an older boat and replaced my black box NN3. I have a RD30 that supplies temperature information. How do I connect it to a TZT2BB.
2. The TZT2BB is at 6.26 level. To update it do I have to install version 7.0 & and then version 8.0 or does 8.0 include changes from 7.0

You can update direct to v8 software. Not step update is needed.

The RD30 is a NMEA 0183 device. You will need to wiring the RD30 0183 data to a data converter to NMEA 2000 to be used with the TZT2BB. I would suggest that the Furuno IF-NMEA2k2 be used for this conversion.
