Hi guys, can anyone tell me is it possible to connect SS 270w with plug for Raymarine unit, or with bare wires (A102118 or A102121) to Fcv 588 and how to do that?
Thank you

Calamaris,
The A102121 has an 8-pin RayMarine connector and the A102118 has bare wires. The A102121 has an internal diplexer and the A102118 has separate elements for 50 & 200Khz. If you have the A102121 I would call the good folks at Gemeco (803-693-0477) to see if they have a short pig tail adapter cable. If you have the A102118 you will need to use the MB-1100 matching box. I know it will work but I can't speak to how well, we always used the diplexed version of the 270 with our sounders when it was available.

Thank you Snips for your kind reply, I have few more question: What option actually will give best results, with pig tail adapter and diplexer or with matchbox, is there any differences in term of quality an resolution? Is A102118 actually the same as one that use to be for Furuno with bare wires? Is Matching box same as SB646 (I am thinking maybe in future to add also one 526 tid)? Thank you.

Calamaris,
At this point I would favor using the A102121 if you can find an adapter. I am unfamiliar with the SB646 part number. The Furuno matching box (diplexer) is an MB-1100.

Thanks, I did buy A102121, and find the pig tail adapter, I guess I just need to cut existing and connect Furuno one? Will I lose anything when connecting two cables, or should I solder it?

Calamaris,
I prefer soldering and heat shrinking all the connections. However the easiest is to use a terminal strip.
